Poi Spinning
I have been a poi spinner for two years, after a friend introduced me to the activity. Poi spinning is derived from the
Maori culture. Men would use poi to maintain physical fitness when away from battle, and the women then adapted poi into dance
props. I spin regularly at the Glasgow juggling club, and have helped and taught many spinners along the way. I sometimes
give private lessons and public performances.
I also practise many other object manipulation skills such as diabolo and juggling. I have recently started learning hat
manipulation.

Ceramics.
I am currently studying on a BA (hons) Design-Ceramics course at the Glasgow School of Art. I am in my final year, and
this site contains images of work that I have produced in the development of my degree show. Although I have specialised in
ceramics, I enjoy working in a variety of media, including glass, silicon, plaster and even paper when making origami.I prefer
to produce sculptural work, although sometimes I also make functional objects.
